Research

Elm is committed to knowledge production and sharing. It offers rigorous research services across the research project cycle, from design to implementation to publication. We work with national and international partners to gather evidence, synthesize knowledge, and produce reliable data-driven analyses and solutions.

Quantitative

Collecting and analyzing numerical data to describe characteristics, find correlations, and test hypotheses is key to knowledge formulation. We have extensive experience with sampling study respondents both through online and in-person assessments or questionnaires. We perform statistical analyses to find patterns, make predictions, and test hypotheses.

Qualitative

Elm engages in qualitative research as a multi-method, interpretive, naturalistic approach to understanding subject matters. To that end, we design and suggest qualitative techniques that best suit the research needs of our clients. These approaches include policy analyses, desk reviews, observational research, case studies, ethnographic studies,

Experimental

Elm recognizes that some research requires a controlled setting to achieve its objective. Occasionally, the priorities of national governments and of development agencies are based on the impact of some factors over others. Such deductions must be approached with an experimental design so that precision is maximized.
